Our history
As a nature lover, I've always believed that taking care of our planet is a collective responsibility. After earning my Master's degree in Environment, I've always strived to reduce my plastic use and my ecological footprint... So, in the spring of 2019, I started making solid shampoos and conditioners for my family. Satisfied with the results, I increased my small homemade production sessions, which quickly became a source of pure pleasure. One thing led to another, and my loved ones started asking me to make their own products too, and for a few months, it was all just a hobby.
Then, between the fall of 2019 and the spring of 2020, a downward spiral took hold of my family and sent me spiraling downward. This extremely difficult period made me realize that over the years, I had forgotten myself in order to take care of others. But above all, I also understood that my artistic side had been silenced for too long. As a biology teacher at Cégep, I was evolving in a rigid field, where my creativity could hardly be expressed and I felt oppressed. I needed to let my artistic side be part of my life again. Just as the lotus plant that grows in the mud blossoms into one of the most beautiful flowers, I took advantage of what the trials had brought me to rebuild myself. My soap factory was my healing and allowed me to rise above all this negativity. The name of my soap factory therefore has a very special meaning for me...
"From my passion a dream was born, and it is from this dream that my artisanal soap factory was born."
Once I made the decision to officially launch my own business, I rolled up my sleeves. I began testing and developing new recipes, focusing on respecting manufacturing and environmental standards. After all, I'm a scientist, so this whole approach was innate and logical for me! Then, by letting my creativity run wild, I created over time a complete line of eco-friendly and safe fun products for the whole family.
Since its beginnings, my artisanal soap factory has only had one employee, ME. I am an "octopus" owner, who takes care of all aspects of my business: creation, production, photography, labeling, shipping orders, social networks, etc. I am still a teacher, but on a reduced schedule by choice, to have a better balance between the two sides of my personality: artistic and scientific. It's not a whim, it's vital for me.
Today, my workshop is located in the heart of Quebec's Eastern Townships. I create my eco-friendly products by hand, in small batches, with the utmost respect for health and safety standards for you, your family, and the environment. I select only quality ingredients, favoring organic and/or sustainably and fairly sourced raw materials, suitable for a vegan lifestyle and not tested on animals.
With a zero-waste approach, my products arrive in minimalist, reusable, biodegradable, compostable, recyclable packaging, made from recycled materials, or simply recycled from my suppliers. I also offer bulk refilling at my workshop. Finally, I am always on the lookout for new ideas and techniques to apply the 3RV principle in my workshop (reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover) at each stage of my production.
I believe that together we can make a difference for the planet! Thank you for caring about the environment and supporting a SMALL LOCAL business owned by a WOMAN entrepreneur!
