Shipping Policy

TAXES AND CURRENCY

All our prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and do not include taxes. Applicable taxes will be added to your cart at the time of purchase. Taxes are calculated based on your place of residence (in Canada). Sales taxes in Quebec are as follows: GST at 5% and QST at 9.975%.

For now, Effet Lotus – écoresponsable savonnerie can only sell and ship its products within Canada.

DELIVERY COSTS

Quebec & Ontario

Shipping costs are $14.95 for all orders under $125 (after discounts and before applicable taxes). These costs include packaging, handling, and carrier shipping.

We offer free delivery in Quebec and Ontario with a purchase of $125 or more (after discounts and before applicable taxes).

You can save on delivery fees by picking up your order at our boutique-workshop located in Ascot Corner (Sherbrooke area, Quebec). For this option, you must select the correct option at checkout. We will contact you when your order is ready to schedule your pickup at a mutually convenient time.

Rest of Canada (including Northern Quebec and the Magdalen Islands)

Shipping costs are never free, regardless of the order amount. These must be calculated on a case-by-case basis. When you place your order, you will be charged the flat-rate shipping of $19.95. Then, depending on the case, we will either refund you the difference or contact you to specify the additional amount you will have to pay and explain how to pay it. You can, of course, cancel your order if these additional costs seem too high. Please note that NO profit will be made on your shipping costs and we will only charge you what it costs us to send your order to you via the least expensive carrier (Purolator or Canada Post, as the case may be).

PROCESSING TIME

The average assembly time for an order is 2 to 4 business days. The time could be up to 7 business days depending on busy periods (e.g., holiday season) or even more than 14 days if your order includes personalized or custom-made items (e.g., special order). We recommend that you contact us before placing your order to ensure that you can receive your order on time if you have a specific date in mind.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY TIME

Effet Lotus – Savonnerie Écoresponsable cannot be held responsible for lost, damaged, or incorrectly delivered packages. It is your responsibility to provide us with the correct delivery address when placing your order.

We usually ship our products via Purolator or GLS, without a signature. Insurance is included free of charge for orders under $100. Delivery time in Quebec is 1 to 3 business days and 4 to 5 business days for the rest of Canada, after receiving confirmation of your order's shipment.

If you live in an area not served by Purolator or GLS, in a high-rise building, or if you provide us with a PO Box address, your order will need to be shipped via Canada Post and you may incur additional charges (to be determined on a case-by-case basis). If this is the case, we will contact you before shipping your order to determine your preferred shipping method (e.g., Standard Parcel, Expedited Parcel, Xpresspost, etc.).

Whether sent by Purolator, GLS or Canada Post, it is always possible to add insurance to your package and/or add the signature option for more security during delivery, but additional fees will apply. If you wish to add one or the other or both of these options, you will need to contact us by email after placing your order.
